A mid-sized general hospital had various problems regarding their business intelligence environment. During the first phase of the project a quick scan has been conducted, identifying problems in technology, architecture, processes and communication. After solving the most critical technical issues, it was decided that the best way to address the remaining problems was to redesign the existing datawarehouse and ETL process. The final stage of the project consisted of the migration to Cognos 8 which enables the organization to better tailor the information delivery to the different user groups within the hospital
